I am a new Mom’s Meet Ambassador. It is a great excuse to get together with other mom friends, and we get to try new products. I also joined Martha Stewart Living‘s community and applied to be a blogger with them, and joined Chiquita mom’s. Ultimately I want to grow blogging into a community adventure for myeself. It is a way to connect and enjoy life without having to leave my room, which is sometimes necessary.
I learned a long time ago, I need connections. I need human interaction, and while I am not so great with adults, I am amazing with children. I just need to learn adult speak. I am working on that. I am also applying to blog with other established sites, and will be starting a blog for my sons theater group. Blogging is my new passion and career. Add that to tapping and I am a happy girl.
Las Vegas is hot so here is our list of summertime activities.
I will be hosting a Madagascar 3 party through Crowd Tap on June 9th to kick off the summer. My son will be so excited to have a party, that I can’t tell him yet, or I’ll never hear the end of it. I am then planning a fun-filled summer full of swimming at Grandma’s, meeting my new nephew, Lego Camp, Theater and Dance camps, and more. Hopefully we’ll also engage in a writing campaign to my brother in Australia to improve my sons handwriting and we will of course be doing the traditional book reading clubs/competitions offered by the library and others. On down days, I’ll have to come up with centers or something. I live in Las Vegas and can’t just send my son out to play, it’s way too hot. So mom’s here plan the summer. We are blessed that my husband got a job with Bricks 4 Kidz http://www.bricks4kidz.com/nevada-lasvegas/, and that my son can go to work with dad and participate in their camps. I am hoping that YMCA will have pity on my medical and financial woes and offer us a scholarship. I have to get that in soon. I am also thrilled that my son gets to do theater all summer long. He’ll love it. I want him to do dance and vocal performance as well. I think he has finally caught on, and enjoys the process now. Before he just kind of wandered around the stage and didn’t quite get the point, now he has lines and is intent on learning the dances, developing “voice” for his character and many other amazing things. My goal for the summer is to learn sound, lights, and backstage production so I can help with future performances. I will also be blogging, and taking pictures like crazy. Look for us online at You Tube, facebook, and my upcoming blog. It is Hollywood Kids Academy, and I love their program.
Now if I could just find a way to get paid for all the fun I’m having, it would be lovely. I take surveys and such, but the money just isn’t flowing yet. I’m sure I’ll get there. I just have to learn the ins and outs of this business. Maybe I’ll even learn to program, then again, maybe I’ll just pay my brother to do it. 🙂 He’s great with computers, and I could give him a comission. He writes Apple and Android apps. His latest is Pretzel Maker, which is addictive, fun and free. Check it out.
As always, please send me any updates, information, ideas, or clues as to how to improve. I love to hear from my readers, and I hope that circle grows exponentially as I connect with other mom bloggers. Blogging is a lot more fun than I ever dreamed. I don’t see myself as a writer, but I do enjoy sharing my life and the fun things out there in this world, so naturally blogging is a perfect outlet for me. Enjoy your day!
