*Ben and I were able to see a preview of this movie for free in exchange for our honest review. As always, the opinions are mine. The giveaway is all mine and not affiliated with any other entity.

Video-game bad guy Ralph (voice of John C. Reilly) and best friend Vanellope (voice of Sarah Silverman) leave the comforts of Litwak’s arcade in an attempt to save her game. Their quest takes them to the vast world of the internet, a world Vanellope wholeheartedly embraces—so much so that Ralph worries he may lose the only friend he’s ever had.

I love how Pixar and Disney consistently offer movies that grow with us. Ralph Breaks the Internet is one that we enjoyed for different reasons because Ben and I are at different stages in life, and I can see it being a movie we can continue to enjoy throughout our lives. It is a cute story of how friendships change with age. Vanellope is growing up and starting to form her own dreams and identity, and it sometimes means relationships have to change. Vanellope was sweet and woke, while Ralph was just simple enough to not seem dumb. I laughed and cried about my growing teenager and he learned some valuable lessons. Ben walked out talking about how his friendships have changed as he’s gone to Junior High and soon High School. He loved the references and we both enjoyed the humor. There are even Fortnite mentions. We both had a great time, and want to take his Dad.

If you can guess my favorite part of the movie I am offering a $20 gift card for your next movie adventure. Just leave your guess in the comments. The giveaway ends at the end of December so there’s plenty of time to see it. 🙂 Take the family and have fun!

My only caveats are one, there are some scary parts that just aren’t what I would want a sensitive or really young child of mine to see. Ben is autistic and struggles with some types of scares. If you want to know more about that, I would be happy to tell you in a direct type of message so as not to ruin any surprises. Ben is older now and did fine, but he would have been scared if he’d seen this anytime before he was 8. The second was that I found this movie and the last one rather predictable. There are lots of things I like, fun jokes, easter eggs and witty banter. I just don’t like it when I can guess most of the plot. For kids this is not a problem, and it is a kids movie so it’s not really that big of a deal.

Just in case you need some activity pages for the kiddos this holiday season, here are a few.

I am a wife, mother and blogger. I love to share what I learn and am constantly learning. My family lives with an Aspergers child, chronic illness and constant financial issues. I blog about this and ways to make life fun and fulfilling in spite of it all. I also blog with Sublime Media Connections, Kate and Kaboodle and several other amazing blog teams. I love what I do, but I am human and often make mistakes, which is why my motto is "muddling through".
