Captain America – Civil War or Iron Man is a Jerk

I took my son to the preview of Captain America – Civil War. He was so excited he was bouncing in his seat, and I couldn’t get him to stop until the movie started. He is 11 now, but he has watched superhero movies his whole life and loves them. We got to preview the movie in return for our honest review. This movie is PG-13 and earns that rating due to violent action scenes and mature themes. We have made the decision that when it comes to our child such movies are okay as long as they are set in a fictional world, and we always preview or watch the movies with him to make sure he understands what he saw and can put any scary or difficult situations in perspective. Avengers!

I had the rare and amazing opportunity to see Avengers on its’ preview night, in IMAX 3D. It was amazing, and I talked about it so much, I made my family irritated. Then they went, and now they can’t stop talking about it. We loved Hawkeye, and the Black Widow. I loved that their abilities were amazing, yet they were the “normal” people in the group. I loved Hawkeye’s equipment, and if could find such a bow and arrow set, I would learn how to shoot arrows. I would love to give such a set to my son. He would love it. The jokes and silliness were not missed by my 7-year-old, and he enjoyed Hulk’s occasional pushy behavior when he would strike out against other Avengers.
