Edenbrooke is a delightful Jane Austen era novel. I received an advanced copy, and must admit, I ignored it for months. I love Jane Austen books, and enjoy all the romance, decorum, and manners found in that era and in the writing from that era. This book did not disappoint. It was a beautiful romance, with twists and turns. My favorite was its emphasis on being yourself despite societies expectations. I truly believe that is the path to happiness and love. This book has delightful romance, sacrifice, intrigue, and the best of the era patterned writing without being over the top, wordy or predictable. I love that Julianne Donaldson created a clean romantic novel that embraces all that is beautiful and lovely about true love and relationships. Her main characters are memorable, and their choices make me want to be a more romantic spouse. It reminded me that I am living the romantic dream.

If you want a delightful read for a night of romance, this is the book. Well-written, and full of hope and passion. Check it out!

About the Author:

“Julianne Donaldson was born in the wrong century. She tries to make up for that by enjoying old books, old music and old places. She graduated magna cum laude from Brigham Young University with a degree in English literature. When she’s not dreaming of England, she enjoys baking, dancing with her kids, and staying up late with a good book. She lives with her husband and four children in Salt Lake City Utah.”
