I started blogging as a way to vent my emotions about a situation I couldn’t control. I was disabled and sick a lot, and had lost most of my friends as the illness lingered and traditional friendships grew harder to keep up. I spent a lot of time in bed and in hospitals, and writing gave me an outlet. I was amazed to find a community of women, some like me, some home with kids, and some who had made blogging into a business. Mostly I was amazed to find a community of friends. I joined groups like Blog Friendly PR to learn more about blogging and engage with other bloggers, and found a passion and an enterprise that I love.

Blog Friendly PR’s blogger outreach taught me how to create content that was more user-friendly, and less like a journal. I found ways to offer my readers contests and product reviews. I learned to design my blog to include social media and I learned how to use social media to grow my blog. Without this groups and the other bloggers who are friendly and willing to share their knowledge, my blog would be tiny and insignificant, and I would be writing to an invisible audience. Instead I have found a passion for writing and engaging with my friends online, and have learned to offer content that is meaningful and useful. I have also found many social media outlets like facebook, and twitter, and have  been taught how to navigate them without getting into trouble. Along the way I have been blessed to win or earn a lot of free items that my family needed. I may be disabled, but I can offer some things for my family that I would otherwise be unable to.

Blogging is something that I greatly enjoy and intend to pursue for years. This site will be where I offer my reader’s life coaching, review and giveaway products, and share the ups and downs of parenting, marriage and blogging. I have other sites where I offer health coaching and health related articles and tips, and someday, if I get really ambitious, I will create a blog where you can read and subscribe to my personal services as a coach in health, life and business. I love coaching and blogging and will be combining the two in the years to come. It is a lot of work to keep up a blog, but it is a joy to work with the other bloggers and people online. The community there is what I miss in my local community. We are friendly, supportive, and helpful. If we could create that in the local communities around us, it would be an amazing feat indeed.

I am a wife, mother and blogger. I love to share what I learn and am constantly learning. My family lives with an Aspergers child, chronic illness and constant financial issues. I blog about this and ways to make life fun and fulfilling in spite of it all. I also blog with Sublime Media Connections, Kate and Kaboodle and several other amazing blog teams. I love what I do, but I am human and often make mistakes, which is why my motto is "muddling through".

  1. I am so glad that we live in an age where we do have computers, social media, blogs and can actually communicate with other people that live across the country. It is great!

    1. I am grateful for this form of communication as well. I keep in contact with most of my family online. We don’t even use the phone, which is kind of sad, but it is good too because we can all comment and update each other in our own time frames, which is helpful. I hope you have a great network of friends. Thank you for your comment! I love hearing from my readers.
